Accessibility Statement

Last updated April 2026

Our Commitment

SafeTeam is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We continually work to improve the user experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards to make sure everyone has equal access to our services.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. SafeTeam strives to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. We continuously test and refine the experience to keep it inclusive.

Accessibility Features on This Site

We've built accessibility features directly into safeteam.io. You'll find an accessibility menu available on every page (the icon in the lower-right corner of the screen), where you can:

  • Adjust text size — increase or decrease font size site-wide for easier reading
  • Enable high contrast mode — boosts visual contrast for users with low vision
  • Toggle large text mode — applies a larger base type scale across the site
  • Reset preferences — return all settings to default at any time

Your settings are saved automatically in your browser and persist between visits on the same device.

Other Accessibility Practices We Follow

  • Keyboard navigation — every interactive element on the site can be reached and operated with the keyboard alone
  • Skip-to-content link — appears at the top of each page when you tab into it, letting screen reader and keyboard users bypass navigation
  • Semantic HTML — landmarks, headings, and ARIA roles are used so assistive technology can interpret page structure
  • Descriptive alt text — all meaningful images include alternative text describing their content or function
  • Focus indicators — visible focus rings on links, buttons, and form fields
  • Reduced-motion support— animations and parallax effects are automatically minimized for visitors who have enabled the OS-level “reduced motion” preference
  • Color contrast — text meets or exceeds WCAG AA contrast ratios against its background
  • Responsive design — the site is fully usable at any zoom level and on any device size

Limitations and Ongoing Work

Despite our best efforts, some content on the site may not yet be fully accessible. Some examples include:

  • Embedded third-party forms whose accessibility we do not fully control
  • Older content that has not yet been re-reviewed against the latest standards

We are continuously working with our partners and reviewing our content to address known issues. If you encounter any accessibility barriers, please let us know — your feedback helps us improve.

Compatibility

SafeTeam is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Recent versions of screen readers including JAWS, NVDA, and VoiceOver
  • Voice control software including Dragon NaturallySpeaking
  • Screen magnifiers and the browser's built-in zoom
  • Recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) on desktop and mobile
